Summer gets closer with a pair of new teleseryes coming soon on ABS-CBN.
Expected to air on Primetime Bida within a few weeks, the two new teleseryes will be:
Bridges of Love – starring Maja Salvador, Jericho Rosales and Paulo Avelino. John Lloyd Cruz and Xian Lim were originally cast in the upcoming series before backing out for various reasons.
Inday Bote – starring Alex Gonzaga, Matteo Guidicelli, Kean Cipriano, Izzy Canillo and Alonzo Muhlach. Adopted from the 1985 film starring Maricel Soriano, William Martinez, Richard Gomez and Charito Solis.
The two teleseryes are expected to replace ‘Two Wives’ and ‘Bagito’ respectively. More details will come in future articles, so stay put.
Judging by the teaser (which features Maja Salvador’s character as a dancer in a bar), Bridges of Love may get a SPG rating at some point.
The 2015 Inday Bote teleserye (to be directed by Wenn V. Deramas) is not the first TV adaptation of Pablo S. Gomez’s work; it was adapted as a standalone episode under the ‘Komiks’ banner in 2006, and as a 2010 Wansapanatym miniseries (all with completely different casts).
Indeed. Bridges of Love, due to its mature content, will be aired at a later time because of that.
The Inday Bote teleserye will definitely be a longer, deeper and more dramatic tale than the Komiks episode and the Wansapanatym miniseries. But like all adaptations, expect it to deviate a bit from the original story.
