Four worthy singers, two days, one champion.
The second season of ‘The Voice of the Philippines’ concludes with one of the most highly-anticipated finales to date. On February 28 and March 1, the last singers standing on Team Bamboo, Team Lea, Team Apl and Team Sarah will go head-to-head in hopes of joining Season 1 winner Mitoy Yonting on the winners’ circle.
TVPH’s ‘Final Four’ consists of Rence Rapanot (Team Bamboo), Alisah Bonaobra (Team Apl), Jason James Dy (Team Sarah), and Leah Patricio (Team Lea). These four finalists not only survived pressure-packed decisions from their judges, but also testy votes from viewers, in order to make it to the finale.
Since the new season debuted in October, ‘The Voice of the Philippines’ has remained a consistent top-rater and a major trending presence on Twitter. Expect the finale to do the same.
‘The Voice of the Philippines’ season 2 final performance show will air live this Saturday after ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’, while the final results show will also air live this Sunday after ‘Rated K’.
And for those who still feel ‘The Voice Fever’, don’t worry. A new season of ‘The Voice Kids’ is coming soon, as auditions for the kids’ edition are already underway.
Meanwhile, a different kind of special will be aired on GMA this and next Sunday.
The wedding of Heart Evangelista (real-life name Love Marie Ongpauco) and Sen. Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero will have a two-part special on March 1 and 8. The first part, to be aired this Sunday, will have highlights of the despedida de soltera, followed by the wedding that was held at the Balesin Island Club in Quezon.
The second part, to be aired next Sunday, will focus on the reception that was held at the Blue Leaf Filipinas in Paranaque City. It was hosted by Tim Yap and Christian Bautista, with performances from the Kapuso network’s resident artists.
Fresh from the decently positive reception of the Marian Rivera-Dingdong Dantes wedding special last month, GMA now hopes to keep the good times rolling with the Heart-Chiz wedding special. Then again, they have tough competition in the ratings department, so good luck with that.
The Heart-Chiz wedding special will be seen as part of ‘Sunday Night Box Office’.
ABS-CBN will replay the Robi Domingo documentary on Hokkaido in Japan this Sunday on Sunday’s Best instead of the Oscar Awards.
Wise decision. The masses won’t be interested in the Oscars anyway.
If DongYan two-parters could’ve compete, it would’ve fare better for Kamuning but Dos feels the flames (yeah, Fire Prevention Month) for the five Sundays of March as the Sunday TV guru, James ignited it.
I called it “Mother Ignacia’s March Madness.”
March 8. Primer of Bb. Pilipinas
March 15. Bb. Pilipinas Coronation Night (delayed)
March 22. 31st PMPC Star Awards for Movies
March 29. Just Julia: Beautiful at 18
ABS decided to replay the Robi Domingo documentary because the network is anticipating that The Voice finale will end at about 10:30 pm followed by GGV and Sunday’s Best at 11:30 pm. Airing the Oscars at 11:30 pm is so late already.
Definitely a wise decision on ABS’ part again. TVPH may go up against the Heart-Chiz wedding after all since their live show may take a long time. As for Saturday, they will be up against Celebrity Bluff and I-Witness, and possibly Kapuso Movie Night if they take a while.
Talagang ginastos talaga ng GMA na maging exclusive coverage provider ng Kasalang chiz at heart, kagaya kina Dong at Yan.
Good job.
Indeed. Pero for sure may mga Kapamilyang dating katrabaho ni Heart na dumating rin, kaya pati ABS well-represented din kahit papano.
I was just informed from Kathy Solis of ABS-CBN PR that the docu of Robi on ABS this Sunday is a new one pala. He went back to Hokkaido to shoot more scenes.
Ok
Robi went back to Hokkaido with his parents. This is a sequel to his previous documentary which he did there two years ago. It’s also produced by ABS-CBN News and the Japanese embassy.
Sana lang kasama lang nila yung current date ni Robi na si Gretchen. Maybe next sequel?
But it is good than before.
Unfortunately mukhang hindi na ito lalaban sa SNBO, since around 10 na matatapos ang TVPH results show. Yung foreign gag show (ala Just for Laughs) ng Siyete ang magiging kalaban nito.
It did happen. Just for Laughs did compete against Robi Domingo’s docu. The Voice PH went overtime and GGV started airing at past 10:30 pm. But by next week, GGV will come in early after Rated K followed by the primer of the Bb. Pilipinas.
There is one program that will likely replace TVPH though: Your Face Sounds Familiar.
YFSF will be aired after the Holy Week, most likely.
YFSF will most likely be aired after the Holy Week.
Holy Week is on the first week of April, and ABS already set the premiere of YFSF to this March. Look at their YouTube for their most recent teaser.
