The summer station ID remains out of the picture for GMA.
Last week, ABS-CBN and TV5 officially launched their respective summer station IDs. Shine Pilipinas was the theme for ABS-CBN’s summer SID, while #HappySaSummer was the theme for TV5’s summer SID (videos below).
With the two stations launching their summer SIDs, GMA is now the odd one out. As of today, the network has yet to formalize any plan of creating their summer SID for this year.
In past years, GMA was able to keep up with their rivals when it comes to themed SIDs. But with the network recently enduring a lot of frustrating performances, it remains to be seen if they’ll make one this year.
Hopefully it’s never too late for GMA to cheer up their audience with their summer station ID. Or will they?

Heard that GMA created an promotional plug with a summer carnival theme for the new shows including Pari Koy, instead of the usual Summer SIDs.

GMA only promoted the shows, not the station itself. Kung gagawa sila ng SSID dapat involved diyan ang mga artista nila, mga GMA News anchors and reporters, pati na mga DJ ng Barangay LS. Kaso that plug only featured the cast of Pari Koy, Let the Love Begin and other upcoming GMA shows. May tema nga pero hindi yung buong istasyon ang involved. Sayang lang.

GMA will air the new season of Asia’s Next Top Model with Georgina Wilson starting tomorrow at 9:30 pm. It will compete vs Gandang Gabi Vice. SNBO will move to 10:30 pm.
Let’s see kung kaya ni Georgina ang powers ni Vice.

Before you divulge into something nonsense, why don’t you give your thoughts on why GMA doesn’t have a summer station ID this year. We might as well have your insights on the article instead of plugging in some random show that has nothing to do with the topic.
kahit may AsNTM na sa GMA, they still prefer to watch that program on Star World. and as for challenging Vice Ganda, mukhang kasama na si Georgina sa mga tinaob ni Vice Ganda sa ratings.

Parang wala nang fighting spirit ang GMA. Halatang reckless na ang mga ginagawa nila. The signings of Willie Revillame and Ai-Ai Delas Alas are merely short-term fixes para lang bumalik sila sa relevance. Desperado na sa revenue ang Siyete, kaya ginawa na nila ito, no matter how risky it is.
Baka mabalitaan na namin isang araw na sarado na ang GMA7 o nationalized na.

Most of Ramon Ang’s assets come from SMC. Wala masyado sa GMA. As for Ai-Ai, lack of new projects prompted her departure. Kung walang mabigyan ang ABS sa kanila, free to go na sila sa GMA. But based on GMA’s poor track record of handling artists, baka hindi rin tumagal si Ai-Ai sa Siyete.

It’s not a summer station ID, like Marcus and I have emphasized. It’s more like a ‘promotional clip’ of upcoming GMA shows. Yung sa ABS at TV5, yan talaga ang summer SID, dahil involved lahat ng mga artista nila, pati na mga news anchors at reporters, plus they didn’t promote a specific show, kundi yung istasyon nila mismo.
Sorry, but GMA doesn’t really have a summer station ID this year. Sobrang kapos lang talaga sila sa pera for that.
GMA SUFFERS MORE PROBLEMS. Hindi lang sa wala silang Summer SID, nagsara na ang kanilang regional operations sa Ilocos, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro at Naga. At wala na ring morning newscasts sa Cebu at Davao. LUGI NA TALAGA ANG GMA.

Very surprising news. Hindi sila makagawa ng summer SID, ngayon may plano naman sila for the Christmas SID. So much for not affording to make one.
Next week na ang launch nito at si Alden Richards ang kakanta ng nasabing SID.
Well nakigaya na ang GMA na gumawa ng isang buong kanta for Christmas. And in fact ABS was a pioneer with that. And I notice din, na nakigaya na rin sila sa tema ng kanta with is about love, giving, and sharing. Truly ABS is the benchmark and dahil din naman sa ALDub at kalyeserye na nagkaroon ng ganyan ang GMA.
Maybe, but still, not making a summer SID earlier in the year surely didn’t help. Kahit may Christmas SID na sila, nakakapanghinayang na gumawa pa sila nito despte the obvious financial problems.
They’re more on capitalizing the success of Kalyeserye than the network’s financial struggles which resulted in labor woes, loss of regional outlets and programming woes.
By the looks of it, GMA is getting more and more stubborn.

Tonight right after TV Patrol, ABS-CBN will launched the 2016 Summer Station ID, named after the current tagline of their “Halalan 2016”, election coverage “Ipanalo ang Pamilyang Pilipino”.

At maidagdag ko lang: This is the first time that the ABS-CBN summer station ID to be launched right after TV Patrol and not during ASAP (usually).
With ASAP’s declining viewership, it only makes sense.
And its related to the elections so may involvement din ang news and current affairs.
