There is no stopping ‘Forevermore’ as their run winds down.
The ABS-CBN drama series, starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, has been on top of the primetime world ever since it debuted in October of last year. So far, ‘Forevermore’ overcame the challenges of ‘Hiram na Alaala’, ‘Strawberry Lane’ and ‘Once Upon a Kiss’ of rival station GMA, beating each series by a wide margin.
Now a fourth opponent awaits the streaking teleserye.
Starting this Monday, May 4, ‘Forevermore’ will go up against ‘Let the Love Begin’, the newest GMA teleserye starring Ruru Madrid and Gabbi Garcia. The upcoming series should not be confused with the movie of the same title, starring Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin, which was released a decade ago under the GMA Films banner.
‘Let the Love Begin’ will also mark the return of Ai-Ai Delas Alas to the GMA camp after over a decade with ABS-CBN. Joining her in various supporting roles will be Gardo Versoza, Donita Rose, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Neil Ryan Sese, Gladys Reyes, and Ms. Gina Pareño.
Other members of the cast include Noel Trinidad, Phytos Ramirez, Abel Estanislao, Ricardo Cepeda, Joko Diaz, Rita Daniela, Ar Angel Aviles, Nomer Limatog, Angeli Bayani, Sancho Delas Alas, Therese Malvar, and Ren Escano.
The series will revolve around the cordial friendship between Jeni (Ai-Ai) and Tony (Gardo), who work for a fictional radio program that focuses on love advice. A major problem would later shatter their friendship, but their paths would soon cross again thanks to a blooming relationship between their children Erick (Ruru) and Pia (Gabbi).
‘Let the Love Begin’ may have been scheduled to air on the vacated timeslot of ‘Once Upon a Kiss’, but the series’ first few weeks may come too late to prove its worth against ‘Forevermore’. As seen in the teaser below, ABS-CBN made it clear that ‘Forevermore”s run would end very soon in favor of a new drama.
Still, the prospect of ‘Forevermore’ taking on a new Kapuso love team is hard to resist. They have already overcome the duo of Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali, and now it is up to Ruru and Gabbi to show their potential against LizQuen.
‘Let the Love Begin’ premieres this Monday after ‘Pari ‘Koy’ on GMA Telebabad. Good luck.
I hope “Let The Love Begin” fares well in the TV ratings vs. “Forevermore.” Still, these two teleseryes are the best. Good luck to both ABS-CBN and GMA.
LTLB is a definite long-shot against the hugely successful Forevermore, so we’ll see if GMA can somehow reduce the ratings deficit with their new drama.
I’m supposed to write this new show.
Cathy Garcia did it again. Now its up for ABS to keep the momentum going. Heard that its a toss up between Kathniel’s PSY or Jadine’s OTWOL to take reign.
Regarding ABS’ next move, we’ll see.
Forevermore is TV’s biggest hit since BCWMH. Nde nman kasi gnun ka sikat ung mga bida. Its success is because of CGM. May magic tlga sya.
Give credit where credit is due, ika nga, kaya napasikat sila LizQuen.
Add mo pa ung loveteam ng Strawberry Lane sa mga casualties nila.
The loveteam of the infamous Strawberry Lane in question (there was actually some of those loveteams in that drama) is of J[h]ake Vargas and Bea Binene, who broke up again in real life.
And Let the Love Begin’s finale is part of a recent string of weekday series finales in Philippine TV that started with that of Dream Dad and may end with the finales of Second Chances and the afternoon serye (hint: that serye is not Yagit) that will be replaced by Healing Hearts (making the period a month full of series finales and new dramas).
Just sad. Wala kasing magic na nangyayari sa GMA. They don’t have a capable individual with the keen for talent and creativity like CGM.
As for who’s replacing who, Healing Hearts may possibly replace The Half-Sisters this month; the series has been airing for around 10 months now and could be on the verge of losing the battle to Flordeliza. Kailan Ba Tama ang Mali cannot be replaced for now dahil they only started in March. And by the way, it’s not Let the Love Begin who’s ending, it’s Once Upon a Kiss. LTLB starts this Monday.
parang matatapos ang “Kailan Ba Tama Ang Mali?” dahil buntis si Empress…
We’ll see. Again kakasimula pa lang niya so dapat mga 80 yung episodes niya at least.
And not for long with this competition, Forevermore has about to end in 2 weeks time (PSY remake will handle the timeslot)
That said, there’s not enough time for LTLB to prove anything, dahil paparating na sila KathNiel.
