A new teleserye is coming to ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.
On Monday, May 4, the Kapamilya network released the intital teaser to ‘Pasion de Amor’, the localized adaptation of the Colombian telenovela ‘Pasion de Gavilanes’. The original first aired in Colombia in 1994, and was later broadcast on ABS-CBN a decade later.
In the teaser, three brothers – portrayed by Ejay Falcon, Jake Cuenca and Joseph Marco – sought revenge for the death of their sister by making three sisters from a rival family – portrayed by Ellen Adarna, Arci Munoz and Coleen Garcia – fall in love with them.
‘Pasion de Amor’ is scheduled to premiere within the month of June, with the possibility of moving no later than the third quarter of this year.

The Pasion de Amor remake has been hinted to for a long time for the weekday afternoon block. Some time ago a Pasion de Amor cast member said the title of the telenovela on GGV.
The remake will be under the RSB unit, known for month-long tapings before premiering.
Is Flordeliza (also under RSB unit) rumored to end soon?
Not sure. We’ll have to wait and see. ABS only wanted two local dramas on KGold because of regional TV Patrol airing after that, which may pose a problem in the RNGs’ programming if they have three.
I thought FlordeLiza is under Linggit-Tan unit.
Again I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
dpat primetime ito bka masyadong puno na ang line up ng primetimebida. kulang tlga ng kinang ang kapamilya gold
Indeed there’s still a lot more work to do. They should have been taking advantage of some viewers’ dissatisfaction over the extremely long and dragging storylines of The Half-Sisters and Yagit, but they haven’t done that because the Kapuso viewers continue to tune in. Mag-iisang taon na ang The Half-Sisters, pero andyan pa rin, as if never-ending ang istorya ito.
Another reason why Pasion ended up in the afternoon was Bridges of Love. The latter only started last month, leaving ABS with no choice but to move Pasion to the afternoon. In addition, the lead stars were considered ‘B’ actors, as in ‘not yet Primetime Bida material’, although Jake Cuenca had been in primetime before.
yes sila dpat ang ipapalabas kesa s two wives sinabi un in an interview with Eric Quizon (they’re director) before.
*their na auto correct ako. 🙂 peace!
Unfortunately, the ‘B’ stars is what doomed them, so nasa KGold na sila.
yes poor casting choices
Even GMA is doing the same thing. Afternoon soaps are like a training camp for young, underserved, and unproven talents, which is exactly what is happening on both networks’ dramas in the afternoon. Kung decent pero needs improvement ka sa skills mo, doon ka itatapon.
Pasion De Amor was announced by Colleen Garcia in A&A to be aired on May 18. I still dont know which show it will replaced
We’ll find out soon enough. They’re possibly sticking to only two local teleseryes in the afternoon due to regional programming in the provinces.
yep, lalo na ang early airing ng Kapamilya Deal or No Deal at 4:30 and regional TV Patrol at 5:20.
Kaya nga hanggang dalawang teleserye lang sila sa hapon, tapos Asianovela at KDND kaagad. Yung mga NCA programs advanced airing sa slot ng animes sa RNGs. Kung taga-probinsya ka talagang sobrang affected ang viewing habits mo because of the added regional programs.
bka may telserye na matatapos due to dismal ratings
It won’t be Flordeliza TBH, kahit na bagsak sa The Half-Sisters. The Jolina-Marvin tandem still attracts well notwithstanding the ratings. I’m sensing that NKNKK is getting the boot. After all, it’s just a testing ground for the network’s 18-somethings.
honestly it can be both, since the show is not attrcting new viewer groups. maybe KGold should give Sexy Series and Kabit Series instead of family dramas in the said time slots
They can only choose one for the meantime. They haven’t announced a new KGold drama yet at this point. As far as your two proposals for sexy and kabitseryes are concerned, we’ll see if that will be convincing enough.
yeah bka mas mag hit sa hapon ang provocative at mature seryes. But a JM De Guzman love story and fantasy soap is already in the works, so bka NKNKK nga ang palitan.
After all, it’s just a ‘refresher’s course’ for the ex-Goin Bulilit and Luv U alumni.
“Pasión de Amor” itself is a a remake of Colombian telenovela “Las aguas mansas”, set in the early 20th century.
So it’s a fourth remake already of the original.
I think the Philippine version is the fifth.
I am still sure but Pasion de Amor will be premiered within next month. (Inday Bote will end in two weeks time)
That’s a possibility.
