The conclusion to Paloma’s story brought ‘Ang Probinsyano’ to new heights.
The ABS-CBN primetime series twice broke its all-time high in the Kantar National Ratings, earning 45.9% on February 1, and 46.7% the next night. On the other hand, GMA’s ‘Little Nanay’ earned all-too-familiar ratings of 18.1 and 16.9% respectively.
Those two episodes of ‘Ang Probinsyano’ were highlighted by Cardo’s (Coco Martin) successful rescue of Carmen (Bela Padilla) from a criminal syndicate, albeit at a near-cost of his life. Along the way, it was revealed that Paloma was actually Cardo disguised as a woman.
The gripping scenes of the two episodes captivated the country and made an impact on social media. But with ‘Ang Probinsyano’ reaching its pinnacle, the question is, can they keep it up?
