During its 20-year run, ‘Bubble Gang’ has never been preempted. Until now.
On Friday, February 26, ‘Bubble Gang’ will not be aired to make way for a special televised event. Titled ‘The Master Showman’s Final Bow’, this special will pay tribute to one of the country’s entertainment icons, the late German ‘Kuya Germs’ Moreno.
Kuya Germs’ former proteges and friends will be present to provide production numbers and give their final thoughts on the life and career of the Master Showman. ‘The Master Showman’s Final Bow’ will be aired after ‘Because of You’ on GMA.
As for ‘Bubble Gang’, this will mark the first time that the gag show will not air on a regular Friday schedule (it does not air on Good Friday for obvious religious reasons). So for long-time viewers of the show, better wait till next Friday.

Out of respect for Kuya Germs but the first 30 minutes of the tv special might lose in the ratings game because katapat pa nila yun last 30 minutes ng finale episode ng OTWOL.
They had no choice but to air it yesterday, since naka-book na yung AiAi concert for SNBO and they badly needed a more favorable timeslot for the Master Showman Special. Unfortunately, it was just bad timing.
Wrong move talaga. Kahit yun sa movie block nila sa hapon pwede pa yun.
Clearly, it’s not a good week for GMA decision-wise. The Master Showman special would’ve made sense for SNBO or even the afternoon movie block, but they simply acted irrationally by pre-empting Bubble Gang just for this. Sayang.
E ano naman kung ilalagay pa nila sa hapon yun tv special nila kung katapat mo naman yun special episode ng OTWOL. It is still a lose lose situation for GMA.
Indeed. There’s nothing GMA can do at this point. Na-ere na, that’s all.
As for ratings, The Master Showman’s Final Bow scored a rating of 12.5%, based on AGB Nielsen Mega Manila ratings. OTWOL finale scored higher with 20.7%, also based on Nielsen Mega Manila ratings. Kantar has yet to release Friday’s ratings.

Like we said, it’s just bad timing out of respect to the late Master Showman.
Speaking of Kantar, TMSFB’s rating scored 7.9%, just 0.6% above You’re My Home na naka-score ng 8.5%.
They barely lost, but their defeat to OTWOL finale hurt the special in a big way.
